[W|nDs] is proud to announce that duo, [W|nDs] Vin from Malaysia and [W|nDs] Hang from Singapore will be representing their countries to Cheonan, Korea to compete in the FIFA Online 2 ESWC Asia Masters tournament from 2nd May 2009 till 5th May 2009. There will be 4 Korean champions and 12 International Asian champions to compete for the huge prize money worth USD 12,000 (RM 43,600)! The Champion will walk away with USD 8,000, the 1st Runner-up with USD 3,000 and the 2nd Runner-up with USD 1,000.
This achievement should be [W|nDs] Hang's biggest and most memorable one in his FIFA career. In Singapore, players needed to play either in one of the 5 LAN Battle in cyber-cafes or the World Your Point Tracking via online in order to qualify to the ESWC Asia Masters Singapore Selection grand finals. [W|nDs] Hang was seeded straight to the Grand Finals after he emerged as the Champion in one of the earlier LAN Battle. During the Grand Finals, he fought all the way to the Final to meet Singapore's FIFA celebrity who was also the former member of [W|nDs], Xtr3me3. He managed to outcome the vastly experienced Xtr3me3 by beating him 5-4 and 5-3 in the Best of 3 format to make his way to Korea, his first ever FIFA competition abroad. *[W|nDs] Hang Earning His First FIFA Tournament Abroad*
Back in Malaysia, there was initially no qualifiers for Malaysian FIFA Online 2 gamers to compete their way to Korea. Upon seeing this disappointment, [W|nDs] Vin made the efforts to contact MyCNX Holdings which is in charge with FIFA Online 2 events and tournaments in Malaysia. His efforts proved fruitful when MyCNX gave away the good news that an online selection will be held. It was a last minute qualifier which tracked the World Tour Point gained by Malaysian gamers during the qualifying period, which was from 12pm 24th April 2009 till 12pm 27th April 2009. [W|nDs] Vin might have unofficially broken the current Longest LAN Party Guinness World Records, which was earlier set by Malaysian gamers during the CyberFusion 2009 event, when he played FIFA Online 2 non-stop for 42 hours without sleep. His last minute sacrifices and die-hard efforts rewarded him the trip to Korea as he finished top on the leaderboard, gaining a big margin of 35 points above the 2nd placed, Sunsuron. *[W|nDs] Vin Had Previously Competed In The WCG 08 Grand Finals In Cologne, Germany*
Hereby [W|nDs] congratulate and wish both of them the best of luck in Korea. Everyone wishes them to make it to the podium in order to bring glory and fame back to their respective countries. More updates will be announced on [W|nDs] website regarding their experiences and results in Korea!
